May is National Inventors Month!

This month, we pay homage to the inventors and creators.
 
The adventurous dreamers and tinkerers among us who aren’t afraid to try something new, who find novel solutions to our problems and enrich our lives one invention at a time!
 
After 40 years of creating engaging materials for the classroom, we think we have modestly contributed to inspiring the inventors of today and tomorrow to be endlessly curious…and to love learning!

NASA Spinoffs

Did you know that over 2,000 commercial products have spun off from inventions developed to aid in NASA missions?

This infographic highlights a few of the impactful technologies you may not have realized came from NASA, from items we use daily such as water filters and cell phone cameras, to lifesaving medical technologies like implantable cardiac defibrillators.

How to Build a Dyson Sphere

Kurzgesagt uses their signature quirky animation style to explore how intrepid inventors of the distant future could theoretically build a Dyson sphere around our Sun, an unimaginably enormous undertaking!

Engaging Books

There’s nothing like curling up with a good book. When it comes to textbooks, a well-thought out design, with visuals that help students understand tricky concepts, really helps with engagement.
 
We’re very proud of the work we did for the enVision 6–8 math program. We designed hundreds of interior pages—including many lively illustrations and photo compositions that we created in-house—to support the math curriculum in a memorable and approachable way for students.

Animation has been one of our passions for almost ten years!
 
We created this 3 minute video for York University’s Schulich School of Business, to promote their entry in the 2013 Hult Prize.
 
Our team storyboarded the video, wrote the script, created all of the assets, and produced the motion graphics.
 
The video received enough votes to put them in the top 10 finalists. See the whole thing here.
